What is the Midwest Air Source Heat Pump Collaborative?
The Midwest Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) Collaborative cross pollinates ASHP program best practices across the industry to make progress toward its goal: making ASHP technology the first choice for homeowners and contractors replacing heating systems or air conditioners, optimized to provide heating and cooling, by 2030 across the Midwest.
The federal government has set a goal to transition America to net zero greenhouse gas emissions no later than 2050. From the Collaborative’s industry perspective, this means the future of home heating and cooling is heat pump technology.
The Collaborative is delivered by four mission-aligned non-profits in the Midwest: Center for Energy and Environment (CEE), Slipstream, MEEA, and Elevate. We aim to provide industry resources to promote relationship building, knowledge sharing, and connections between market players to advance ASHP technology understanding and uptake.
Funding Information
The Midwest ASHP Collaborative is funded by the Department of Energy's Building Technologies Office through the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory.
